Description

"Bang Sue Area Development Action Plan" is one of the key action plans, Resolution of the State Railway of Thailand (SRT) Board Meeting, 11th/2021, on September 16, 2021. The SRT Asset Company Limited. (SRTA) has been assigned to develop in accordance with the recommendations of the Office of the National Economic and Social Development Council (NESDC). The goal is to make this area a model for a "Livable Smart City" in the context of central urban areas and the transformation of national-level transportation. The main vision is to develop "Bang Sue Liveable Innovation City, Connect Thailand and the World," with a focus on innovation and smart city development. Especially the development of a smart city system in all 7 aspects, with specific emphasis on 3 aspects as follows Smart Mobility, Smart Energy, and Smart Environment. Additionally, there are four more aspects, including Smart Living, Smart People, Smart Economy, and Smart Governance. This aims to create a city that is livable for residents and visitors alike, encompassing aspects of lifestyle, business, and leisure. It involves blending contemporary culture and modernity with traditional culture and ways of life to create a vibrant and lively living experience.

Objectives of the project

1. To enable consultants to propose development guidelines and operational strategies that align with the investment timeline, consistent with Master Plan of the SRT, covering short-term, medium-term, and long-term phases.

2. To have consultants suggest development directions that establish a linkage with the national strategies, the national economic and social development plans, as well as plans of various government agencies and state units, or integration plans.

3. To have consultants analyze financial data and conduct studies to assess the feasibility of investments in the Bang Sue area, including providing recommendations on budget allocation and payback periods, to provide decision-making information.
